Ra-One, A Colossal failure

It takes some super human ability to watch certain movies and that holds true for the Ra-One. Starring Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Ra- One is a shameless rip-off the Terminator series “The Judgment Day”. The plot is set to take place in 2050, where Shekar, a computer game developer creates a game where the bad guy named Ra-one is deadly and almost unbeatable, who somehow comes into the real world from the virtual world and kills Shekhar Subramanyam (SRK). The rest of the story is on how G-1(the super hero from the Game who takes shekhar’s place) protects the boy from Ra-One.

Despite a good theme and some creative camera work, the movie lacks in good direction and good acting by the leads. Too many things have been cramped into the movie. The only stand put performance in the movie is the role of Shekar Subramanyam played by Shahrukh khan. The rest of the cast were sleepwalking through their scenes. The glamour girl Kareena Kapoor could hardly move a muscle in the song “Chammak Challo”. All in all, a disaster for a movie whose budget exceeds175 crore rupees.

Ra-One too suffers from the same disease as the other modern Indian Cinema, all style NO Substance. I can give it a generous 2/5 and people will be good to keep away from watching this one. But if one has decided to watch this one then make sure to carry a blanket and a pillow. Just in case!!!!!
